Richard was baptised on 22 Jun 1567 at Allhallows, Bread St, City of London, the son of Robert Brett and Elizabeth Highgate. [1]
In 1595, he was appointed Rector of Quainton, Buckinghamshire. In 1605, he received his Doctor of Divinity degree. He interrupted his service in Quainton to assist with the translation of the King James Bible.
The will of William Brett of Toddington dated 4 June 1624 named "my brother Richard Brett of Quaynton in the county of Bucks, doctor of divinitie".[2]
He was buried at Quainton, Buckinghamshire, on 18 Apr 1637 age 70.[3]
