DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Martha by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Martha:
The Timothy Ingraham attached here is unlikely to be the husband of Martha, especially since he was born far from where she was and because she already has another Ingraham husband attached. And indeed, Timothy Ingraham is much more likely to be the man who married Mary West at Newport, Rhode Island in 1746 and died at Newport in 1794, aged 69, correlating well with his recorded birthdate.
