Biography
Horace Brewer was born in Northamptonshire, England.
Horace was born in 1878[1] in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England,[2] where he lived with his family at 1 West Street in 1881[3] and 1891.[4]
Horace married Esther Elizabeth Fuller in 1900 in Kettering.[5][6] At the time of the 1901 census they lived at 178 Bath Road, Kettering. Horace worked as a boot packer and Esther was a shoe fitter.[7] By 1911 the family had moved to 9 Argyle Street, Northampton. Horace was a grocer and beer retailer[8] and in 1921 he sold beer off licence. Esther assisted him with the business.[9] At the time of the 1939 register, the couple remained at 9 Argyle Street. Horace was a beer retailer and Esther undertook "unpaid domestic duties".[1]
