Daniel Joseph Brewer BREWER, Daniel Joseph – Age 76, of Roseburg, died Friday, April 17, 1998 at a local Medical Center in Roseburg. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m., on Thursday, April 23, 1998 and from 8 to 10 a.m., on Friday, April 24, 1998 at HULL & HULL FUNERAL DIRECTORS. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 24, 1998 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Kendall officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. He was born June 10, 1921 in Stonewall, Oklahoma. In the early 1930's he moved to Oregon from Oklahoma. On February 10, 1948 in Crescent City, California, he married the former Edna McIntosh Caraway, who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a logger in the timber industry for many years. He was also a sportsman having fished on the coast at Bookings and Coos Bay. He lived in the Grants Pass area for many years before moving to Roseburg five years ago. He was a member of the D.A.V. in Roseburg and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting elk, deer and game birds. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to the flea market. In addition to his wife of 50 years , Edna Brewer of Roseburg, he is survived by six daughters, Jackie Balander and Billie Garcia of Sunny Valley, Sandy Antich of Grants Pass, Darlene Jones of Roseburg, Patty Conant of Sparks, Nevada and Jody Lorentzen of Roseburg; three sisters, Opal Simpson, Vina Plumlee and Allene Dino all of Grants Pass; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Brewer.
