Research Notes

According to the 2019 edition of the Brewster Silver Book, the Kingston Vital Records (VR 33) indicate that Rachel was born in Kingston on 25 March 1733 and the Duxbury Vital Records (VR 411) indicate that Rachel died in Duxbury on 6 August 1759, at the age of 25 years, 4 months, and 23 days. Unfortunately, the math between the two dates does not work out to that age. The dates on this profile have been entered to match the dates in the Vital Records. It seems likely that dates are correct and that her age was misstated on her death record, which resulted in the incorrect information being carved into her tombstone.[2]
