Biography

Catherine was born in 1868, the daughter of George Brewster and Martha Birdsall.

Cassie married Thomas Brown in 1895. Their marriage record reads:

Thos. Brown, 31, residing and born in Howick, bachelor, farmer, son of Jas. Brown and Elizabeth Johnston, married

Cassie Brewster, 28, residing in Carrick, born in North Crosby, Co. Leeds, spinster, daughter of Geo. Brewster and Martha Birdsell,

Witnesses: Richard Howes, Howick, and Mary Brewster, Buffalo,

On October 9, 1895, at Carrick Township, Bruce County, Ontario.

Together they had the following children:

Catherine Brewster, of Clifford, Ontario, died on May 3, 1934 in the Toronto General Hospital. Her death record states she was born in 1867, the daughter of George Brewster and Martha Birdsall, both born in Scotland. Her daughter, Ethel Brown, of Clifford, Ontario, was the informant on her death record. Her cause of death was breast cancer. Her death record indicated she was to be buried at the Clifford Cemetery.

Family knowledge states she was buried at Fordwich, Ontario.

Clifford is located in Minto Township, Wellington County. Fordwich is located in Howick Township, Huron County.
