Patience Brewster was born about 1600, probably in Scrooby, England, to Elder William Brewster and Mary (Unknown).
She arrived in Plymouth aboard the Anne in 1623.
She married Governor Thomas Prence. They had four children.
She died sometime before December 12, 1634 of "a pestilent fever". In 1634, smallpox and influenza ravaged both the Indians and the English in the New England area.  She is buried on Burial Hill, Plymouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.
