John Brice was born in Devon, England.
John Brice was born About 1722 and was baptized 30 May 1722 in Halberton, Devon, England.[1] He was the son of John Brice and Christian Row.
He married Dorothy Challice of Tiverton on 20 November 1750 in Thorverton, Devon, England.[2] Thorverton is a little over 11 miles/18 kilometres southwest of Halberton by the fastest route.[3] After they were married, John and Dorothy moved to Tiverton. They had five children: John Brice, Anstice (Brice) James, James Brice, William Brice and Richard Brice, all of whom were born in Tiverton.
