On the 1870 Census, he was listed as a 36 year old, white male living in Elliott County, Kentucky with his wife, Mary Jane, and children: Mary A. Brickey, Sena Brickey, Landon Brickey, Emily Brickey, Mary J. Brickey, and John Brickey. He was working as a farmer. He and his parents were recorded as being born in Virginia. [5]
On the 1880 Census, he was listed as a 46 year old, white male living in Little Fork, Elliott County, Kentucky with his wife, Mary Jane, and children: Mary A. Brickey, Sena Brickey, Landon Brickey, Emily Brickey, Mary J. Brickey, and John Brickey. He was working as a farmer. He and his parents were recorded as being born in Virginia. [6]
On the 1900 Census, he was listed as a 67 year old, white male living in Newcomb, Elliott County, Kentucky with his wife, Mary Jane, and two children, Malissa and John. According to the census, he had been married for 45 years. He was a farmer who owned his own home and farm. According to this census, he and his parents were born in Virginia. He could read, write, and speak English. [7]
He died September 29, 1917 in Newcomb, Elliott County, Kentucky.[8] He was buried in the Parish Brickey Family Cemetery in Isonville, Elliott County, Kentucky. [1]
