Biography

Jonathan was born on September 17, 1786 in Sheffield, New Brunswick. He was a son of Samuel Bridges and Sarah (Stickney) Bridges.

He married (1) Jane Ferguson Harrison on August 20, 1818 in Sheffield. She was a daughter of the late Capt. James Harrison and Charity Cowperthwaite Harrison.[1]

Jane passed away in 1837.

Jonathan married (2) Rebecca Ann (Simmons) Vandine, widow of Joseph Vandine, on September 22, 1841.[2][3]

Jonathan passed away on May 14, 1852 in Queens County. He was interred at the cemetery in Upper Gagetown.[4]
