Frieda was born prematurely, delivered at home by cousin Myrtess Davis Bridges, and at the recommendation of Dr. Elias Futrell a wood stove was used as an incubator.
She Married Eugene Sumner on her eighteenth birthday, May 25, 1951 and they had three children.
Frieda was a major contributor of family histories for "Trigg County, Kentucky, The Past 100 Years.
She also contributed many photos to the book, "Images of America, Trigg County" by her grandson Thomas D. Harper.
And thanks to her photography hobby, many of the Bridges family profile photos were contributed to WikiTree.
Frieda served on the Board of Directors of The Thomas-Bridges Association for many years and was a lifetime member.
