Willie Fay Bridwell was born on September 16, 1924, in Sarepta, Mississippi, when her father, Robert Lee Bridwell, was 38, and her mother, Ila L Gray, was 28. ^{[1] [2]}

She married M J Belk in about 1944 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. They had four children during their marriage. After M J died, she married Vernon Glenn White in about 1969.

She died on September 22, 1993, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, at the age of 68, and was buried near Bruce, Mississippi, in the Collums Cemetery. ^[3]
