Maria Briganti is born around 1735-37 in Corleone, based on her reported ages in 1807 and at her death. She is the daughter of Placido Briganti and Rosa Cimino.

Maria and Giuseppe have at least four children: Antonio (1768), Rosa (c. 1773), Salvatrice (1776), and Salvatore (1779).
Antonio is born 12 August 1768 and baptized the next day. His godparents are Don Onofrio Catinella and Lucia, wife of Martino Porcarello.[1] (Lucia is a midwife.)
I have estimated Rosa is 20 (b. 1773) when she marries for the first time.
Salvatrice is born and baptized 25 August 1776. His godparents are the notary Don Francesco Zardo and Donna Maria Zardo, his wife.[2]
Salvatore is born and baptized 14 March 1779. His godparents are Maestro Girolamo and Anastasia Inserra, a married couple.[3]
Rosa marries three times, first to Bernardo Ligotino, on 14 January 1793.
Rosa remarries, to Stefano Rizzotto, on 30 October 1796.
Salvatrice marries Nicolo' Grizzaffi on 24 April 1797. Her parents are both still living.
Don Giuseppe dies at age 65 (b. 1737) on 26 April 1802. Maria survives him.
Rosa marries a third time, to Matteo Cutrone, on 19 September 1802.
In 1807, Maria, age 70 (b. 1737), is living near the Cortile Pellegrino with her son, Antonio, his wife, and their two year old daughter, named after Maria.
