1871 Lived in Prestwich.18 year old Isaac Briggs is a bricklayer - parents Isaac and Elizabeth

1911 Census he gives Prestwich as his place of residence.

Isaac Briggs was born in Pilkington, Lancashire, England in 1855.[1]

He married Francis Annie Dubberley in 1881. [2]

In 1881 the couple lived at 249 Chatham Street, Salford.[3]

By 1891 the family had four daughters Mabel A.; Ethel , Eunice, and Maud, and one son, Reginald. They lived at 34 Grosvenor Street. All the children had been born in Salford.[1]

Isaac and Annie baptized four of their children on the same day, 12 May 1900, at St. Alban, Cheetwood.

The family was living at 120 Pemberton street and Isaac was a bricklayer. [4][5]

In 1901 the family was still at Pemberton Street. Mabel is not on the record at the address. Seventeen year old Ethel was working as a Restaurant Waitress and Eunice as a cap presser. Other children present are Maud, Reginald, Annie, Eleanor C. and Sydney.[6]

Annie passed away before the 1911 Census.[7] Reginald, Eunice, Annie and Sydney. Eleanore is most likely "Nellie" age 13. 6 roomed house.[8]

Isaac Briggs was the father of Ethel (Briggs) Kershaw. Following her records let to finding Isaac and Annie in the 1891 and 1899 census returns, and hence the marriage between Isaac and Francis Annie Dubberley. All of the census returns for Isaac Briggs lead to a birthdate of 1855.
