Samuel Briggs was born in Yorkshire, England.

Samuel was born in Cudworth, 1799 & baptised Samuel Briggs, 8 September 1799 Royston, Yorkshire the son of Samuel Briggs & Hannah Ibberson. [1]

The marriage of Samuel Briggs & Ann Allot was conducted on 13 October 1825 Clayton West with High Hoyland, All Saints, Yorkshire. [2]

With wife Ann & children in 1851 living in Spring Grove, Clayton, Yorkshire . He worked as wool scourer. [3]

He died in 1867. [4] & buried 5 September 1867, Scissett, St. Augustine, Yorkshire. [5]
