Biography

Emigrated to NZ per "Shamrock " 1841. Hotel proprietor, flour mill proprietor and farmer at Riverhead, Auckland NZ. Also described as an auctioneer and General Agent and had a mart at Greyhound Inn in Queen St, Auckland.

John Brogan born 1811, County Tyrone/Londonderry, first son of John Brogan and Agnes/Elizabeth Brogan [nee Burk], from 1817 was living in Glasgow 1817-1824, Edinburgh 1824-1828 1828- Glasgow, could have emigrated after then?, his father John Brogan died in Glasgow harbour in 1856.
