Billie you did answer the Military and War check in, but missed answering this check in?

This year we are hoping to learn what our membership would like to accomplish over the next 12 months. In case you aren't aware, this year is WikiTree's ""Year of Connections"" and the Project's leadership would like to contribute to this in as many ways as possible.

If you have not yet signed up to help on one of the project's teams, which team(s) would you be interested in joining?
How often should we provide a Project Newsletter?
Have you participated in the Tartan Trail? If not, is this something you'd be interested in doing?
Do you have a question(s) that we could add to a Frequently Asked Questions page?
Any suggestions or ideas you have on ways to improve the Scotland Project in general

Hi Billie, I noticed you chose the USBH Connecting Challenge for 5 profiles on the challenge tracker. I assume you meant to choose a different challenge and wanted to let you know so you can get credit for your work on future profiles. Emma
You have been very helpful on Johnannes Gross family information. He was my 4 times great grandfather if I count right. Do we have a connection to my family. We probably match DNA if you do. I did a ancestry DNA and a Family Tree DNa test.

Hi Billie, thank you for all your contributions to WikiTree. Can you please review the Pre-1700 Profiles reliable sources requirements? Family tree links and Find-A-Grave are not considered reliable sources for Pre-1700 profiles. Thanks, Laura

Yes I still interested in the Germany Project. I hoping to get some stuff when I recover from this pacemaker/Diffibulator surgery. Just doing small stuff currently.
Hi all who see this. I know I have lots of profiles to work on. Will be out few weeks as just got my Pacemaker/ Diffibulator in so be back in couple weeks hopefully.
Billie, just saw this. Hope you're doing much better.
Billie, when you get a moment, can you remind me which aspects of Native American genealogy you're working on? I'm trying to get a handle on what the different project members are interested in. Many thanks.
No I am not related to her. She is an in-law to the fellow who lived in my house 1919 - 1940, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hardman-1108. Hardman was my grandfather's best friend, and after he died, my grandparents bought his farm from his estate, thus I live in his house. My surviving relatives had all kinds of stories about Hardman. So I did my best to see if any were true. Turns out most weren't. I also filled in his family tree as a winter project a couple of years ago. I really don't know anything more than already written about the Alkires.
Good luck
-Jon
Oh cool, I think we find so much in in friendship connections at times. Thanks for making profile. I took over it as she cousin. If you happen to learn anymore let me know.
As part of an annual check-in of the WikiTree US Presidents Project we are asking members if they are planning to continue their contributions to the project. We are establishing a page where everyone can identify the President or Vice President that they wish to manage. Just respond to this message to let me know 1) Are you planning to continue with the Project and 2) do you have a specific President or Vice President that you are interested in.
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
They changed the Google group to much can’t figure how to post in it never got in discord group. I updating profiles constantly and looking for information on all my profiles and others. Placing in categories that takes up bit my Wikitree time. I did find few more scots in my tree didn’t know I had thanks to group thanks for that. And learning more about my Scottish heritage more. Still have tons to do on that front though. Thanks for checking in though.
We're sad to inform you that the Black Sheep Project is being dissolved. All BSP's subprojects will be moved in pieces under the Notables Project as categories and perhaps as Teams, depending on interest. Witch Trials will become a subproject of Notables.
Your BSP project member badge will soon be removed. If you'd like to join the Notables project, please let one of us know and we'll get you a Notables badge.
Please email either of us if you have any questions and if you'd like to join the Notables project.
Thanks,
Susan McNamee & Traci Thiessen
~co-leaders, Black Sheep Project
This is in response to your G2G post about joining the Magna Carta Project, We would be happy to have you join us at one of the two membership levels we offer. The two levels are "Badged" and "Affiliate". While members at both levels participate in improving the profiles and lineages of Magna Carta surety barons and their descendants from Richardson documented "Gateway Ancestors" to their surety baron ancestors, the participation requirements differ between the two membership levels. The level you choose to participate at would depend on your interest, your experience, and amount of time you wish to devote to this interesting area of genealogy.
For more information. please take a look at the following project pages.
Hi Billie! Neither of those sub-projects exist yet. You are welcome to start one. You'd start off as a free-space project that could grow into a team or sub-project of the Religion Project at some point. See: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Free-Space_Projects. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.
Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Billie, when you get a moment, can you remind me which aspects of Native American genealogy you're working on? I'm trying to get a handle on what the different project members are interested in. Many thanks.
Jillaine, project coordinator
No I am not related to her. She is an in-law to the fellow who lived in my house 1919 - 1940, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hardman-1108. Hardman was my grandfather's best friend, and after he died, my grandparents bought his farm from his estate, thus I live in his house. My surviving relatives had all kinds of stories about Hardman. So I did my best to see if any were true. Turns out most weren't. I also filled in his family tree as a winter project a couple of years ago. I really don't know anything more than already written about the Alkires. Good luck -Jon

It’s time for a Project check-in!

Thanks, Susan McNamee & Traci Thiessen ~co-leaders, Black Sheep Project
I asked someone to look into why you are no longer on the Military and War goggle group. The profile looks nice! Let me know if I can help in any way.

Once you decide on the level you want to participate at let me know and I will get you started.
David Douglass, Project Co-Leader

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards,
Sarah Mason, Scotland PC
cannot find the parents of Sophorous or any spellings.
1880 census shows a S D Gross. with a wife Lavinia
The Daniel Gross in FamilySearch.org seem to have died 1 year before your date of death plus they do not have children listed named Soupharous or any near spellings.
I rarely luse Ancestry.com.
Thank you for your explanation about the Bergstrasser profiles.

Thanks for your message! We have a g2g "joining" post that you should answer if you're interested in category work. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/843651/would-you-like-to-join-the-categorization-project
Please read over our project page. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Categorization
We correct category errors and help projects figure out their category structures. As the project page explains, "The only requirements for membership in the Categorization Project are that you join a team and work with your Team Leader, and that you respond to the six monthly check-in from the Project Leaders (or Volunteer Coordinators)."
Thanks, Natalie, Categorization project

I only made the category. We dont make templates for individual states under each name Study. You are welcome to use the Callahan Name Study template under the Biography heading and include the category for Pennsylvania.
