Greetings BIllie

This is in response to your G2G post about joining the Magna Carta Project, We would be happy to have you join us at one of the two membership levels we offer. The two levels are "Badged" and "Affiliate". While members at both levels participate in improving the profiles and lineages of Magna Carta surety barons and their descendants from Richardson documented "Gateway Ancestors" to their surety baron ancestors, the participation requirements differ between the two membership levels. The level you choose to participate at would depend on your interest, your experience, and amount of time you wish to devote to this interesting area of genealogy.

For more information. please take a look at the following project pages.

Once you decide on the level you want to participate at let me know and I will get you started.

David Douglass, Project Co-Leader

What a motto crest Shield so cool. Maybe you can use it. I can’t post it. I only 1700 working on 1500 certified.

Hi Billie! Neither of those sub-projects exist yet. You are welcome to start one. You'd start off as a free-space project that could grow into a team or sub-project of the Religion Project at some point. See: Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Well I got them set up and started filling my

2 Lutheran categories with my Bright Family. Thanks for all help.

Hi Billie

cannot find the parents of Sophorous or any spellings.

1880 census shows a S D Gross. with a wife Lavinia

  • "United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch ( : 16 July 2017), S D Gross, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States; citing enumeration district ED 104, sheet 118A, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), FHL microfilm 1,255,091.

The Daniel Gross in seem to have died 1 year before your date of death plus they do not have children listed named Soupharous or any near spellings.

I rarely luse

Hello Billie,

Thank you for your explanation about the Bergstrasser profiles.

I just ok a bunch of Bergstresser merges that was requested.

Hi Billie.. Your question about Sophorous Gross. Your best source is the top source from Fold 3. It says

Branch=Army, Units= 18th Pennsylvania Cavalry, Company I

Be sure to type in Union Civil War (Union)

I am putting the sticker for you, if you do not mind.. Then you can see how it is done..

This is the page of directions: Civil War

PS It is best to read this link from your personal page.

Hi Billie,

Thanks for your message! We have a g2g "joining" post that you should answer if you're interested in category work.

Please read over our project page.

We correct category errors and help projects figure out their category structures. As the project page explains, "The only requirements for membership in the Categorization Project are that you join a team and work with your Team Leader, and that you respond to the six monthly check-in from the Project Leaders (or Volunteer Coordinators)."

Thanks, Natalie, Categorization project

Hi Billie,

I only made the category. We don’t make templates for individual states under each name Study. You are welcome to use the Callahan Name Study template under the Biography heading and include the category for Pennsylvania.

Hi Billie,

I am so sorry this took so long! Here is your category.

Sorry Billie,

I was training my staff all day and then I fell asleep. It’s so hot here in Savannah! I meant to tell you earlier that I will make the categories for you.

You can add a Pennsylvania Callahan Category if you like. Here is an example of how subcategories have been added to a Name Study.

I added Pennsylvania Name Studies as a category.

You may also want to consider Pennsylvania related stickers located here:
