Samuel was born about 17 Nov 1853, and baptized 28 Dec 1853 in West Yorkshire, England to Horatio and Mary Alice.[1] [2]Horatio’s occupation was described as a Flax spinner.
Sam married Josephine Maude Corri on 4 April 1878 in London, England.[3]
Sam and Josephine were living in Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield, England at the time of the 1881 census with their two young daughters, Mary (2 yrs) and Alice (9mos).[4]
Sam died 2 Sep 1891 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. His will was proved 21 Oct 1891 with his father, Horatio, acting as sole executor, leaving an estate of £28,041.[5]
