Biography

Catherine was the unmarried daughter of Edward Bright and Catherine Allatt, baptised 3 September 1773, and died 4 February 1846 and sister of Edward, who died before this will was proved, and sister to Elizabeth who married Henry Bennett. PCC will of Catherine the spinster daughter of Edward Bright, sister of Elizabeth Bennett and of Edward Bright who died before the will was proved. Catherine Bright of Melton Mowbray. To my brother Mr. Edward Bright the interest of four hundred and fifty pounds for his life, the principal sum to be divided at his death equally between his three daughters Catherine Brown, Ann Livesay and Elizabeth Bright. To my neice Sarah Bennett £200, to my neice Ann Livesay Bennett £200 and to my neice Mary Ann Wing £150. To each of my nephews Henry Bennett and George Carter Bennett £100. To each of my nephews Edward Bright Bennett and Edward Bright £150 and also appoint them executors. My gold watch to Ann Livesay Bennett, silver and furniture equally between Edward Bright Bennett and Ann Livesay Bennett. The residue equally between three neices Sarah Bennett, Ann Livesay Bennett and Elizabeth Bright. Dated 2 April 1834.
