Eliza was born in 1831in Kentucky.

06 OCT 1861 in Boone County, Indiana, Rev. Basil Tout and Eliza Bright were married by Elias Homer, minister of the Methodist P. Church. The license was issued for "Baswell" Tout by Silas A. Lee, the county clerk.

12 AUG 1870--Basil--61, a farmer, and Eliza--40 resided in Middle Twp., Hendricks Co. with Robert--7, Emma--6 and Phoebe--4. Also in the household was Nancy Scott, aged 18. born in Virginia. No occupation.

16 & 17 JUN 1880--Basil--71 and Eliza--49 Tout in Middle Twp. Children in the home: Robert E.--17, Eva--15, Phoebe--15 and Laura--7. Also, Asa Strain, aged 26 b. IN boarded with them and worked as a farm laborer.
