Biography

Frank was born in 1880 at or about Prospect in the northern suburbs of Adelaide South Australia. He is the son of John Brighton and Emma Caroline ROBERTS.

I believe this Frank Brighton married Lillian Myrtle Nellie Tucker at St. Paul's Church in Port Pirie, South Australia in September 1915. They went on to have at least 2 children Frank and Rose.

From the Chronicle of Saturday 6th of November 1915 we see:

Brighton—Tucker. St. Paul's Church, Port Pirie, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Tuesday, September 7, when Mr. Frank Brighton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Brighton, of Prospect, was married to Lillian, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Tucker, of Port Pirie. The Rev. H. Severn officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin, with Limerick lace overdress and court train trimmed with pearls and horse-shoes of orange blossoms. The veil was of tulle and becomingly arranged, with a wreath of pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and fern, and wore an aquamarine necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. Two pretty little trainbearers were in attendance—Miss Rose Tucker (sister of bride), daintily dressed in pale pink satin, with fine lace overdress and hat to match, and carrying a basket of pink sweet peas and fern, and Master Teddy Miller, in pale blue satin, with white felt hat and lancer feather and carrying a pale blue crook with silver horseshoes. The two bridesmaids—Miss Nellie Brighton (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Eva Holmes wore dainty frocks of white crepe de chene, white hats with pink roses and streamers, and carried bouquets of westeria with heliotrope and pink streamers. Both wore gold aqua-marine brooches, the gift of the bride-groom. Mr. T. Jones acted as best man and Mr. J. Fox as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests assembled at the Opera Hall, where a reception was held. The bride's mother received in a becoming black lace gown, with smart black and white hat. About 150 guests were enter-tained at the wedding breakfast, and sub-sequently the happy couple left by train, amid a shower of confetti, en route for Melbourne. The bride's travelling costume was of royal blue silk, with which was worn a white tagel hat with lancer feather. The couple were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents

This same Frank Brighton passed away in May 1968 at or about Adelaide in South Australia. However he was buried at the Port Pirie Cemetery, in Port Pirie, Port Pirie Regional Council, South Australia, Australia

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Frank by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Frank:
