Biography

François Brignac, son of Jacques Brignac and Marie Sylvestre, was born on 28 April 1773,[1] at Fort Condé after it became Fort Charlotte, Mobile, in British West Florida (current-day Alabama).[citation needed] His baptism on 10 May 1773 was recorded in the registers at Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, New Spain. His godparents were François LeMelle and Françoise Carrier.[1]
He married Marie Louise Fontenot in 1794:

François served in the 8th Regiment, Orleans Territory Militia as a private in 1806. His service was from Sep 26 to Oct 15. He was paid a total of $3.25 for his service. [5]
François Brignac died in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1821. [citation needed]
