Unity was born and is the daughter of Solomon Briley. She married Caleb Moore. Unity was born about 1773. She died in 1822. Note, Huxford's, Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia, reports her date of birth as 1765, which conflicts with this stated date of birth.
On 10/7/1822 Unicy Moore, widow of Caleb Moore deceased along with his lawful heirs, i.e., Benjamin Moore, William Moore, John Moore, William Raulerson on behalf of his wife Elizabeth (Moore) Raulerson and Thomas Nobles on behalf of his wife Lovey (Moore) Nobles prepared a power of attorney appointing Reddick Knox of Pitt County to act on their behalf in connection with the Estate of John Moore, deceased now in the hands of Moses Moore. Witnesses to the signatures of Benjamin Moore, John Moore and William Raulerson from Appling County Joseph Dyal, J.P, Anderson Gillette and Jabez Dowling J.P.
Jurat by Jabez Dowling, magistrate of Wayne County, personally appeared before me Unicy Moore who after being duly sworn as the law directs sayeth that Lovey Nobles and Elizabeth Raulerson and John Moore and Benjamin Moore and William Moore is all the lawful heirs of Caleb Moore deceased. Sworn to before me this 4th of October 1822. Unicy "her mark" Moore.
