Twin of Hendrick. He apparently died in infancy. His name was given to a later son.
Joris Dericksen Brinckerhoff came to the New World in 1638 on a ship named Den Eichenboom, with his wife Susannah Dubbels, and 6-year-old son Abraham Jorisz Brinckerhoff. He settled on Staten Island, 1638 under contract with Cornelius Melyn, owner, and his brother-in-law; He moved to Long Island Aug 15, 1641, after a murderous Indian attack, which killed his son.
