Elizabeth Mary (Brindle) Wood was born in Mar 1876 in North Carolina, United States, daughter of John Fletcher Brindle (1841 - 1925) and Lucinda Cinderella York (1848 - 1909). ^[1]

Elizabeth married Richard Simeon Wood (1873 - 1936) on 7 Oct 1894 in Elkin, Surry, North Carolina. ^[2]Their children were:

1. Addie V Wood (1894 - )
2. Callie Lucindy (Wood) Sexton (1897 - 1990)
3. Ida Lee Wood (1899 - 1952)
4. Rufus Andrew Wood (1900 - ).

In the 1900 census Bettie (age 24) was living in Marsh Township, Surry, North Carolina, USA.^[3] Bettie died at the age of about 26 in about 1903 in Marsh Township, Surry, North Carolina, USA.

Research Notes

As of yet, I have been unable to locate a grave or death certificate for Bettie Wood. Her husband Richard Simeon Wood had a second marriage in 1903 to Roxy Ball. Betty and Richard has a son (Rufus) in May 1900. In Richard's obituary it states that his first wife Bettie died, so she died between 1900 and 1903.
