Victor was born in 1893. He is the son of James Brine and Lydia Jones.[1]
Victor enlisted in the AIF on 26 February 1918. He embarked Sydney aboard "Euripides" on 1 May 1918, arrived in England on 2 July 1918. He proceeded to France on 24 September 1918, joined 43rd Battalion. He returned to England April 1919 and undertook four months of non-military employment in Topsham, Devon, before returning to Australia. He was discharged on 4 December 1919.([2]
