Biography

He was the son of Adam Brinegar. Spelling of this surname varies in early civil records, but the consensus, at least for the records in Rowan and Davie Counties, North Carolina, seems to be Brinegar.

Will of "Adam Brininger" 4 June 1772, prb. 1772, of Yadkin Ford, wife Elizabeth, sons John and Adam each to have 150 acres of 300 acres tract on Carter's Creek, Adams to adjoin Hower Daughters Katrina and Barbara Brininger Exrts.
