Corporal Robert Brink was killed at the Third Battle of Winchester during the United States Civil War.
Robert Brink was born about 1832 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jesse Brink and Catharine (Weaver) Brink. At the time of the 1850 Census, the family was living in Killbuck Township, Holmes County, Ohio. He assisted his father working the family farm.[1]
He married Isabella Buckmaster on 29 Jan 1852 in Coschocton County, Ohio.[2] Together they had at least the following children:[3]

Louisa Brink (~1855)
John Brink (08 May 1857 - 12 Jun 1914)
Samantha Brink (~1859)
At the time of the 1860 Census, they were living in Jefferson Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. He worked there as a farm laborer.[3]
He joined the 122nd Ohio Infantry Regiment on 20 Sep 1862. He was assigned as a Private with Company D. He was promoted to Corporal in Company D on 01 Jun 1864. He was killed in the Third Battle of Winchester at Opequan Creek, Frederick County, Virginia on 19 Sep 1864.[4]
