Biography
Annis was born in 1803.
She married Thomas Wilson Allen (1804-1866) on Jan 2, 1831.[1][2] They had the following children, per FS:
- Joseph M. Allen 1831-1865
- Amanda Allen 1833-1895
- Harriet Allen 1834-1838
- Thomas Newton Allen 1836-1915
- Edward F Allen 1838-1926
- Harriet E Allen 1840-1924
- William H Allen 1840-1874
- John Bruce Allen 1843-1903
- Robert Wilmington Allen 1845-1904
She passed away in 1877.
Research Notes
FS lists father as John Brinkley, b. 1771, but without sources. Find a grave says father was an unknown Brinkley.
FS also lists an alternate husband, Thomas J. Allen 1813-1880 and 1 child, Harriet E. Allen (same dates as above) but this conflicts with Find a Grave and other FS sources.
