Biography
When Mary "Polly" Brinkley was born in May 1820 in Bedford, Tennessee, her father, Robert, was 28, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 30. She married Johann Peter Friedrich Lehr on July 28, 1842, in Huntsville, Alabama. They had six children in 12 years. She died on October 4, 1904, in her hometown, having lived a long life of 84 years.
