Biography

James Bristol was born on March 12, 1757 in Newtown, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, son of Abraham Bristol (1727– ) and Mehitable Nichols (1726– ).

James married Ann Skidmore (born in 1758; daughter of Lieut. Thomas Skidmore Jr. and Cynthia (Beers) Sherman). Their children were:

James died on November 17, 1841 in Sandgate, Bennington, Vermont, United States, aged 84. He was buried in West Sandgate Cemetery, Sandgate, Bennington County, Vermont.[1]
