DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
In summary Elizabeth had 12 children (7 female & 5 male) between 1791 (when she was aged 22) & 1818 (when she was aged 49). A half marathon of motherhood! She lived for another 30 years after giving birth to all those children & died aged 79.
Hi Elizabeth Bristow researchers. The Grono Family Association has researched the parentage of Elizabeth Bristow and, I think, proved that Elizabeth's parents were NOT Abraham Bristow and Rachael Johnston. You can read the research here https://sites.rootsweb.com/~gronofamily/index_files/research.htm.
Spoke to Brian Grono (Wikitree Grono-186) today who has conflicting information that Elizabeth married 20 July not 27th & died 14 July 1848 rather than 1847
