Biography
Hans Jacob was born in 1848 in the Ladismith District to Petrus Johannes Britz and Cecilia Petronella Vosloo.
He married Christina Elizabeth Went; they had three children. After she passed away in 1898 he married again, this time to Maria Elizabeth Olivier. A daughter was born of the second marriage.
He was a grain farmer who passed away at Goedverwachting, in the Oudtshoorn District in 1901.[1]
