Laura was born in 1864. Her parents were John and Mary Britt. In 1870, the family was living in Crawford County, Georgia.[1]
She married William Alexandria Thompson on 20 Oct 1887 in Crawford County, Georgia.[2] In 1900, the couple was living in Crawford County, Georgia, and had four children (Andrew, Lillie, Herman, and William) at home.[3]
By 1910, they were living in Spence, Grady County, Georgia.[4] They had 8 children at home (Andrew, Herman, William, Buford, Mary, James, Ruby and Annie).] The family was still in Spence in Grady County in 1920. Two more children had been born by then - sons, J C and Warnell.[5]
By 1930, Laura was widowed and she and her son, J C, were living in the household of her son, James Cecil Thompson, in Pelham, Mitchell County, Georgia.[6]
She passed away in 1960. Burial was in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Spence, Grady County, Georgia.[7]
