This William Britt is my 7th ggf and I am trying to find factual information on him. I don't think he married Sarah Poor. The only marriage I can find for William Britt to Sarah Poor was on Sept 22, 1784 in Goochland County Virginia (according to Virginia marriage records on Ancestry). I think his wife may have been named Diana (maiden name unknown), the widow of George Howell, This info was found in the Marriages of the Northern Neck. The only other tidbit I have on this William was in the Northumberland County Records. "Britt, Winneyfred. Orphan of William Britt. Bound to Richard Vanlandinham til 18, she being 11 yrs old last July. Sept 16, 1719. 6.336 (Northumberland Co.)". I have not found anymore on her. I descend from William's son, John. Hope this helps someone! This William is a hard one to figure out.

Following research on behalf of US Southern Colonies Project, I made some changes to this profile in error. Those changes have been reverted. This William Britt is not the son of George Britt and Elizabeth Booker. This William was born and died in Northumberland County, Virginia and was married twice, once to Sarah Poor.

William Britt, son of George Britt and Elizabeth Booker, was born (c 1680) and died (1718) in Charles County, Maryland. He was never married but did have an out-of-wedlock son, Henry Harper, aka Henry Britt, born about 1713 in Maryland. The wills of William's parents, and his own will, are all recorded in Charles County, Maryland.

This profile is being removed as son of George Britt and Elizabeth Booker.

Thank you, Shirley.

I'm curious to know who is the father of William (born 1675), and the mother who birthed him?

There should be record of his lineage from England including departure and arrival

Kind regards, Benjamin Britt

I didn't do any further research on WIlliam, so have no idea who his parents are. Good luck if you decide to try to find them.
May I ask, where did you obtain these records on William Britt (born 1675)? If I have the sources, then perhaps can dig deeper to discover who William's parents were. Thank you

If you click on the Changes tab, you can go back and see where all the information came from. I didn't add it all or create the original profile.
