Biography

Jane (Broad) Thompson was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Jane was born about 1858, probably at Sod Hut in the mid north of South Australia, about eight miles south west of Kooringa, now Burra. Her parents were Samuel Broad, a farmer, and Catherine Clarke.[1] Her birth was not registered.

At 21 years of age Jane married Edward Thompson at her family home at Robertstown.[1]

Jane died in 1922, aged 65, in Adelaide, South Australia.[2]
