Biography

Birth: Frank Stephen Broad was born on 12 Jul 1900 in Bath, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the son of John Herbert Broad and Minnie Laura (Giberson) Broad. His father was also born in Bath, New Brunswick. His birth was recorded in Clearview, Carlton County, New Brunswick on 23 Nov 1945 by his mother Minnie Laura Broad. Minnie Broad was living in Mars Hills, Aroostook County, Maine, United States at the time of her declaration. [1]

Frank immigrated from Canada to the USA via the Vermont-St. Albans Canadian border Crossings and became a naturalized citizen in 1952 at Connecticut. He was drafted in World War I, sometime between 1917 and 1918 at Aroostook County, Maine.

Death and Burial: "FRANK BROAD, MARS HILL, [MAINE:] Frank Broad, 65, a resident of Warehouse Point, [Connecticut] died Tuesday[?] following a short illness at a Hartford Connecticut hospital. He was born at Bath July 12 1900 [the] son of John and Minnie (Giberson) Broad. Mr Broad had resided in Connecticut for the past 15 years. He is survived by his widow Fern (Terrill) Broad of Warehouse Point, Conn one son . . . one brother Roy of St Catherines, [Ontario]; three sisters Mrs Ada Newell of Waterbury Conn; Mrs. Elzena Hawksley . . . [2]
