Biography

John Marion Broaddus^[1] was born 25 April 1875^[2] in Garrard County, Kentucky^[2] to Albert Broaddus^[2] and Susan (Sanders) Broaddus^[2].

He appears in the 1880 census^[3] with his parents and siblings, in the 1900 census^[4] with his first wife and children, in the 1910 census^[5] as a divorced man living with his mother, and in the 1920 census^[6] with his second wife and children.

He passed away 3 April 1947^[7] in Lexington, Kentucky^[7] of esophageal cancer^[7] and was buried in Gilead Cemetery, Kirksville, Kentucky^[8].
