Source 1: A record of the marriage of this Joanna Brock to William M. Hatstat in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts in 1824.

Source 2: A record of the death of this person's son, William M. Hatstat (possibly Jr.) in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1903 says this Joanna was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts, which contradicts her marriage record which said Lewiston, Maine.

Source 3: The 1855 US Census of Boston, Massachusetts' Ward 3 finds this JOanna at the age of 46, living there with her husband William and five children. This record says Joanna was born in Massachusetts.

Source 4: The 1880 US Census of Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts finds this person given as Johannah, as a 76yr old, living with the family of her son Benjamin with the household also including her son, William.

Source 5: The 1865 Massachusetts state census finds this Joanna as a 60yr old, living in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts Ward 1, with her husband William and three sons, This record says she was born in Massachusetts.

Source 6: The 1860 US Census of Boston, Massachusetts, Ward 1, finds this Joanna at the age of 55yrs old, living there with her husband, William and four children between the ages of 13 and 28. This record says Joanna was born in Boston, MA. The family's last name is spelled "Hatstoff" here.

Source 7: An 1889 newspaper death notice for this person who is given in th article as "Joanna B. Hatstap" but whom the transcriber has given as "Joanna B. Hatstat"; who died circa August 31, 1889 in Massachusetts. The article says the service will be held at the home of her some in Hyde Park, Massachusetts and that burial was to be in Ipswich, Massachusetts. It is not clear about exact date of her death, but does say she died at the age of 84yrs 3-months and 21 days and so we extrapolate a birth date of app. May 10, 1805.
