Descendant of Robert Brodie and Marion Anderson, Renfrewshire circa 1664.
When Robert James Brodie was born on May 26, 1851, in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, his father, James, was 34 and his mother, Mary, was 24. He married Henrieta Hattie Lamb on October 24, 1882, in Lanark, Ontario, Canada. They had five children in 12 years. He died on October 3, 1938, in Lanark, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 87, and was buried in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.
