Thomas was born in 1865. He was the son of Colin Brodie and Margaret Wells. When Thomas B. Brodie was born in February 1865 in Nova Scotia, Canada, his father, Colon, was 29 and his mother, Margaret, was 22. He married Annie Maria Pope and they had five children together. He then married Frances Louise Whalen and they had three children together. He died in November 1937 in Washington, Maine, at the age of 72, and was buried in Lubec, Maine.
