Lenora was born 1 January 1871 to George Miles Bronson and Marion S Lamb.[1] At the age of four, she is living on a farm in Sherburne, Chenango, New York with her parents and older brother Fredrick.[2] The family continues to live in Sherburne with Lenora attending the local school.[3]
During the 1890s, Lenora experiences many of life changes. Her father passes away in 1892. Her brother dies in April 1896[4] On 18 June 1896, she marries Edison Levinus Crandall.[5][6] The following year her mother and she planned to auction the family farm of 155 acres with a new basement barn. The farm was sold in a private sale after the 16 October 1897 newspaper announcement of the auction. Instead they auctioned 2 horses, farming tools and other articles on 1 December 1897. [7][8]
Edison and Lenora move to Brookfield, Madison, New York. She has two beautiful daughters, Maude (b. 1897) and Elizabeth Grace (b. 1899). Lenora raises her daughters until her tragic death from pneumonia on 3 March 1912.[9][10][11][12]
