Samuel Bronson was a cooper and lived in Kensingston Connecticut Colony as an adult. He married first a Smith, sometimes reported as Ruth, but more likely named Mehitabel.[1]Jonathan Smith's will of 1720, named his son-in-law, Samuel Brunson, along with his grandchildren Elijah Brunson and Mercy Brunson.[2] It can be inferred from this that Smith's daughter, who had married Samuel Brunson had died before her father. Samuel and his first wife were the parents of Mercy and Elijah.
Samuel married again, this time to Ruth, who was mentioned in her father's (William Lewis) will as Ruth Bronson.[3] Ullmann[4] reported that Samuel's will named wife Ruth and children Elijah and Mercy. (I have not verified that record.)
Bronson, Samuel, cooper, died Feb. 19, 1724/25. [5]
