Harry was born in Holmfirth, Yorkshire on 11 October 1892, the son of Arthur Brook and Mary Rawcliffe, and was baptized at Holy Trinity, Holmfirth, Yorkshire on 14 February 1894[1].
He married Gwendoline Morgan in Sheffield in the Jul-Sep Qtr of 1919[2] (exact date not known) and together they had four children.

Harry lived with his parents, four siblings, and his aunt, at "Fieldshead", 329 Welford Rd, Leicester, Leicestershire.
During WWI, Harry served in the Leicestershire Regiment, where he rose to become acting Sergeant, but no service record has yet been found[4].
England & Wales Register of 1939[5]:
Harry was living with his wife and eldest son at 10 Elms Rd, Leicester, Leicestershire. He was a chemical merchant (traveller).
Harry passed away, aged 60, at 10 Elms Rd, Leicester on 30 March 1953[6]. He left his estate to his wife.
