Sir Richard Brooke was the son of Thomas Brooke of Leighton by a lady surnamed Venables.[1]
Sir Richard was Chief Baron of the Exchequer.[2]
Born by 1474, Richard Brooke was the fourth son of Thomas Brooke of Leighton in Cheshire. [3][4][5] He was educated at London's Middle Temple. [4]
His wife was Anne Ledes, daughter of William Ledes of Sussex. They were parents of ten sons and ten daughters. [4]
Richard was returned to Parliament as member for the City of London in 1512 and again in 1515. [4]
He died on 6 May 1529, the day that he wrote his Will.[4]
Sir Richard Broke, of London, MP. Cecily Broke, one of his ten daughters, married Sir Henry Delves.
