Biography

Alice was baptised on 1 February 1645/1646 at St Peter, Huddersfield, "Alicia filia William Brooke, Bayhall".^[1] She was the daughter of William Brooke and Sarah Armitage.

She is mentioned in the will of her maternal grandfather Richard Armitage 1665: "I doe give and bequeath unto Alice Brooke my Grandchild and daughter of the said William Brooke deceased the sume of fyvye pounds".^[2]
