John Sellers Brooks, father of the bride among those present at the marriage.

Virgie was listed as a foster child in the 1900 census.

Virgie was a member of the Gold Star Honor Roll of WW II (four sons serving 2 in Army; 2 in Navy) she also served as a Red Cross Volunter.
