Sarah was born about 1765 in North Carolina. 12 May 1778 Thomas Brooks be appointed guardian to Sarah, Joab and John Brooks orphans of Joab Brooks dec'd, he giving Bond with Thomas Brooks Jr and Samuel Brooks at 1000 pounds each.[1]
She married first Jacob Slaughter, and then Kinchloe. She passed away 15 Aug 1842. Her will was recorded on 9 June 1842 in Washington, Tennessee.[2][3].
Deed bk 11 pg 286 16 July 1828 John B. & Madison R. sell land inherited from Jacob to brother-in-law David Bransetter.[4][2]

Her last name came from a typed Document called 'Branstetter Bible' which includes information starting from Daniel & Winnie BRANSTETTER Bible and lists all their descendents through 1984. Found in box owned by Jennie Lee (YOAKUM) Irwin Combs after she passed away in 1986. It was not written by her, but by one of her cousins with whom she was clearly collaborating as she is mentioned as a source in it.

Published information: Family genealogies: death: 15 August 1842; Washington, Tennessee, United States Sarah Brooks b. about 1765; died 15 August 1842. Her will was dated 9 June 1842--in Will book 1, page 295.
Her will is under her 2nd husband's surname--Kincheloe. [3]
