Doris was born on 10 April 1909 at Upper Castra, Tasmania. Her parents were Arthur Edward Brooks & Letitia Ann (Banfield) Brooks [1]

Doris married Barnymond Leslie/Raymond Leslie Young on 24 Apr 1937 at "Red Hills," Loorana, King Island, Tasmania, Australia

WEDDING REPORT A quiet wedding (briefly referred to in last issue) was celebrated at "Red Hills," Loorana, on Saturday,April 24th, when Doris Mabel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brooks, was married to Raymond Leslie, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Les. Young. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. E. L. Woods, at the home of the bride's parents. The bride, who was attended by her sister, Mrs Chas. Bowling, as matron of honor, was attired in a pretty frock of white crepe-de-chene and lace, and the veil, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr S. Hicks, was held in place by a halo coronet of orange blossom. A wedding breakfast was partaken of immediately after the ceremony. Relatives of the bride and groom were present, and the usual toasts honored, after which the happy couple left for their future home. [2]

Doris died about 1985. [3]
