DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
Richard Brooks III could NOT have been born "about 1700" if daughter Mary Caine Brooks was born "about 1699". Needs research to establish a better possible birth date for Richard.
Two of Richards sons, Robert and Elisha, have descendants with matching yDNA. Six come from Robert and two come from Elisha. One from Robert (me) and one from Elisha have tested out to 111 markers with 109 complete matching and the other 2 were off by a single count.
